Not many property managers realize that if their pool main drains are not compliant with the Pool and Spa Safety Act, also known as Virginia-Graham Baeker (VGB), they can be subject to civil and criminal penalties.
Commercial pools quickly reach critical levels of contaminants that cannot be filtered or cleaned out of the pool. Without draining, property managers will be closing their pools frequently.

The filter media in your property's sand filter doesn't last forever. The sand loses its filtering "edge", starts collecting bacteria, and begins to farm algae. In extreme cases, it can act like a cement bed.
